Fishing has been on and off, but lots of quality fish around !

Fluke fishing is picking up, tons of 17-18" fluke. .
We are making our own drifts with the trolling motor, the solid state marine battery has been lasting over a week without having to charge it.
Seabass off Jamestown is lights out in the West passage.
And the bass are thick inside Melville pond!

Quick sea trial today to test out the Minn Kota Quest.
Northwest winds 15-20 with an outgoing tide.
Very impressed it actually held the 40ft H&H off Newport.
The Solid State Marine battery worked for around 30 minutes , supplying 36V to the motor.
The battery only dropped 2% !!!
I will be switching over the house bank to Solid State Marine batteries in the future.

11 hours later, thanks to Josh Anderson for slave labor and Brad Nelson for the quick turn around for the aluminum bracket, Tom Calef and state marine
We finally finished the Minn Kota install today on the H&H.
The solid state battery is an impressive 36v 300 AH tank.
The amount of room we saved and the weight of the battery is a game changer!

Still need to glass in the rest of the G10, we will finish that next week !
