My clients came to me with a big travel dream: seeing next year’s once-in-a-century solar eclipse in Egypt! They wanted to experience this bucket-list phenomenon in one of the most ancient places on earth.

The challenge? Tours, river cruises, and hotels across the region were heavily booked. They even spoke with another advisor who told them finding space was impossible.

And then they came to me!

I got to work and secured them a fantastic tour! They will be exploring Cairo (the Pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum!), whisking off to a resort on the Red Sea to snorkel with sea turtles and stargaze in the desert, and attending a special solar eclipse viewing event.

Oh—and the tour company is aware of their need for a strict gluten-free diet and will accommodate them safely!

It makes me so happy when I can help a family navigate complex travel logistics and fulfill their biggest travel dreams!

The problem is so does everyone else!
Tours, river boat cruises, and hotels were sold out!
They actually talked to another advisor who told them that it wasn’t possible to find anything. And then they came to me!

I found them a tour that takes them to the great pyramids, the new GEM museum, and other amazing places in Cairo before wishing them off to an amazing resort on the Red Sea to snorkel with dolphins and sea turtles, stargaze in the desert, and of course experience the solare eclipse with a special viewing party.
Oh and they company is aware of their need for a gluten free diet and will accommodate them! 😊

I love October for its changing leaves, cooler weather, and, of course opportunities to travel!
What is your favorite thing about October?

Fun fact: the town we'll visit on Day 7 of our Rhine River cruise this summer is the actual inspiration for the village in Beauty and the Beast.
Colmar looks almost exactly as it did in the 16th century—timber-framed houses in candy colors, canals lined with flower boxes, and cobblestone lanes built for wandering, not rushing. You'll dock in Breisach and take a short trip into Colmar for a walking tour, or if you'd rather be active, there's a bike tour through the surrounding w**e country or a hike through the Kaiserstuhl, a volcanic region known for its vineyards and unusual landscape.
It's the last port before the ship reaches Basel, Switzerland — the perfect final stop before disembarking. This is one day of the Rhine River Cruise I'm hosting July 4–11, 2027. Comment "COLMAR," and I'll send you the details.

I haven't been doing this for fifteen years, so you won't hear me say "back in my day." What I do have is an unstoppable love of researching travel, helping families travel with gluten-free dietary needs, and helping people avoid expensive mistakes.

Today was amazing! Gluten Freedom Fest delivered on fantastic gf food and great community! I had the best time talking to so many people about traveling while gluten free!! And I had delicious goodies!

I am so excited that Sunday, September 27th, is the Gluten Freedom Festival at Monday Night Brewing The Garage in Atlanta, and if you know my story, you know this one is personal for me, not just professional.
My daughter was diagnosed 5 years ago with Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, so I know firsthand what it feels like to scan a menu with a knot in your stomach, wondering if there's actually something safe to eat. That's part of why I care so deeply about doing this work well, for my own family and for every family I help plan a trip for. So I am looking forward to a whole festival dedicated to food my child can enjoy without fear of being sick!
