Anna Maria Island took a beating from the hurricanes. Thought it would be apropos, during this season, to venture down for the day and patronize some beachfront bars 😎🧉🌴

A shift in consumer habits after the pandemic was the main reason I had to close my beloved shop Oliver & Chatfield. The urgency to shop small and shop local waned and a constant flow of “influencer” material on social media has led to a steady increase in overconsumption of unnecessary products from Amazon and other big box stores, and has ultimately directed money away from small businesses. *Edited to add: another big reason for my closure was an unsupportive, ego driven local government who’d rather insult business owners on Facebook than spend time making the city of Newburgh a welcoming destination for visitors (aka customers who spend money locally).

When we beg you to shop small and tell you we appreciate our customers, I promise it’s sincere. Most of us aren’t getting rich off of our tiny ventures, but we love it! So shop small, shop local and help keep our businesses (and dreams) alive!

We took exactly one photo of our food (Noelle’s food) and one selfie on our broken phones (my broken phone) because we absolutely demolished our AMAZING DINNER and had THE BEST TIME at my favorite spot . Go there often, drink great w**e, eat amazing food 🩷

Stop by 23 Clark Ave., CoH from 9am-3pm this Saturday 10/19 while you’re out at the Cornwall on Hudson village-wide garage sale! I’m selling some furniture and houseware items, remaining random shop doodads, and freecycling things like clothing and accessories.

CAN CONFIRM: Untouchables at 40 Liberty Street is open! What days? I have no clue. What do they offer? B**r and w**e and stuff I guess? Do they have food? No… but maybe someday! What’s with the artwork? It’s definitely something to look at for now! Will there be music? 🤷‍♀️ yeeeeahh probs? There’s a stage?! Glad I could answer all your burning questions!!!!
