Wood turning has always lived in a separate category for me. I’ve never sold a bowl. I’ve never tried to, I don’t want to. I give them to people when they’re nice to me or for a lil surprise at the end of a job. It’s a meditative practice. I’m of corse always trying to get better but that’s never really the end goal. When I was asked to do a show of some of the work by the great Charles Mayer, I couldn’t say no. Here’s a collection of pieces I’ve made recently.

Love this piece from top to bottom. I had the opportunity to work with the sweetest couple who had the best taste, which made life very easy. I’m so thankful to include this work in their already beautiful home.
