So far, this little one is looking like a Double Factor Violet! 💜 We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a boy—if so, he’ll be staying here as part of our violet breeding program. 🥰

Meet our beautiful pair of Eclectus parrots! 💚❤️

Eclectus parrots are one of the most visually unique parrot species because males and females look completely different. Males are typically a vibrant emerald green with bright orange beaks, while females are deep red with stunning violet-blue coloring across the chest and belly. This is known as s*xual dimorphism, meaning their s*x can be identified just by appearance.

They are intelligent, expressive parrots that thrive with daily interaction, plenty of space, and a fresh, balanced diet full of vegetables, fruits, and leafy greens.

We are so excited for this pair and are hoping to welcome Eclectus babies next year! 🦜
