Appy Trails Ranch

Today we sent BC KFS Golda Mieke or as we called her, Goldie, over the rainbow bridge. Goldie was the foundation mare of Appy Trails Ranch, so Bret and I could go riding together. Before we were breeders, we had Goldie and Doodles. Goldie was Brets horse for many years, and she became Kolins for 4-H, was ridden by friends and family and was a broodmare as well. She produced some amazing foals including MIA Miekes Firebird, MIA MitaKola Hemi, Shetank Bedonkadonk and MIA Chubs Bimbo Gali.

Hard decisions are being made as we deal with Brets medical issues.

Medical changes have caused an urgent need to rehome several of the herd. I will start with the stallions. Both are old line foundation breeding. Both have DNA tested clean and I have the reports.
MIA Buckwyatts Glory is a 2007 Leopard. Black with spots. Carries one LP/lp and one Patn/N. He is gentle and loving but he is a stallion so can be handful when excited. Very easy to catch and work with. 97% FPD... That old Black Maggie prevents his 100% but he is considered 100% in FAHR.

My other boy is a 2010 fewspot. Tobys Rock Katmanblu He is LP/LP with Patn/N and black based. He is difficult to catch at times in the pasture, but once caught, is super eary to work with and very gentle. He has Toby 1 in his 4th generation. 100% FPD

Neither have been used for breeding but both are exceptional old line foundation breeding. With the health issues, these boys need a new home ASAP. To a good home only.

Appy Trails Ranch said good bye to Makis Mollie Ann last night. We are saddened at the loss of this wonderful mare.
