Sorting the laundry correctly!
Before you can start the actual washing process, you will need to do a little bit of preparation first! It is best to sort your laundry by color and material. Light, dark, colorful – with this simple classification you can pre-sort your laundry best. Washing the same or similar colors together is a great thing to do as they will not stain each other or get discolored. Be careful with new clothes, especially those with strong colors. Before putting new clothes into the washing machine for the first time, test it with a short hand wash in the sink to avoid it staining all of your other shirts.

Choosing the right washing program and temperature!
Now that you have sorted your laundry, you can move on to choosing the right washing program. On almost all washing machines you will find the following options: Cotton/ Synthetics, easy care, delicates and wool / hand wash, in addition to that there is usually a spin program, an express program and a sport program.

To prevent color fading, toss your clothes in the wash with a teaspoon of salt.
Keep your brights brighter AND prevent color bleeding on the first wash.

Shake it!
Try shaking out your clothes when you remove them from the washer. This will help prevent wrinkles and save drying time.

Putting It All Away
Always remember to remove clothes from the dryer as soon as possible to prevent wrinkles. Fold them or hang them up as soon as possible.

Skip the dryer sheets — use long-lasting dryer balls instead.
Soft and fluffy sheets without the waste or expense.

Unshrink clothes using baby shampoo and a towel.
Just soak the shrunken piece of clothing in lukewarm water and baby shampoo, work through to relax the fibers, and gently stretch.

Remove Stains on Delicates
For delicate fabrics or difficult stains, oxygen bleach is a staple in our stain-removing arsenal. It’s safer to use than chlorine bleach and can be used on colors.

Save Drying Time
When you’re running short on drying time, throw a dry towel in with the load. The towel will help absorb some of the moisture and help your clothes dry quicker.

Establish A Laundry Routine
Preparing is literally half the battle when it comes to laundry. And having a great laundry routine makes your laundry day much more efficient—fewer steps means less time spent.

How to Pre-wash Baby Clothes.
1. First, sort the items by colors. Then secure zippers, buttons, snaps, and other closures, and finally, turn the garments inside out.
2. Choose a gentle detergent that protects your baby’s soft, sensitive skin, then stick to it.
3.Follow the instructions on the fabric care label, and launder your little one’s clothes as you would normally. Generally, you will want to use hot water for washing diapers and cold water for everything else. Use a gentle-to-normal setting onyour washer, especially for the first wash.
