Our Summer Internships and jobs for teens was a great event. Teens learned how to create a resume, prepare for job interviews and how to market themselves. So many job and internships were shared with students that left them asking when is the next session.

Day 4-Today was the last day of our Spring Break College Tour. We visited Delaware State University where we met several students from New Jersey (2 from Newark). The Student Services Director, Mr
Terry Bankston gave us an overview of the Student Services Department, introduced us to the Director of Dorm Life, and shared insight on college life at Delaware and the many opportunities for internships and professional networking.
"The campus is very calm at Delaware State University. It's nice to have an HBCU close to home. There are also some areas of high energy where people were cooking out which was cool to see. We met a student from Newark who gave us a lot of tips about college". Kevin, Payne Tech '27
"This tour was fun. We got to enjoy a meal together, play on hammocks and walk around campus". Demi '27
"Visiting Delaware State University was such fun. The students gave us some advice and information about the campus. They were so nice and the campus was Soo clean. The vibes were good all around". Alondra, Barringer '27
"Touring Delaware State University was yet another wonderful experience. During my visit, I was impressed with the dining hall, student center and business building. The campus itself is beautiful and the faculty was welcoming and helpful. What stood out to me the most was how much the University emphasizes professionalism. It's clear that Delaware State is committed to preparing its students with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in their future careers. Overall, DSU left a strong and positive impression on me". James, Bard High School ' 26
"Delaware State was another very good college and I appreciate everyone I met on the campus that shared knowledge and gems with us. Mr. Bankston from Student Services showed us each building that housed each major and business classes. The trip overall was AMAZING. I made friends, got to see life outside of Newark which I feel like was a big impact throughout the trip on me. I say this because I feel as though the perspective I had on life and what I wanted to do for more serious after I saw college life and met and spoke to college students. I wanted that for myself. I want to be able to elevate to the next level. Im thankful for this trip because it definitely showed me how to elevate. I thank Mr. Brown, Mr. Robinson and Mr. Allen as well as our bus driver. Also MY NEW friends that I met for making this trip the best trip I ever had. Taquan, Barringer '26
