NJIT Master of Infrastructure Planning (MIP) students after their presentation to Newark Mayor Ras Baraka in the magnificent City Hall rotunda! Congratulations to all the students! Many thanks to our final jurors Bill Bishop, Michael Haggerty, Juan Oneill, Pallavi Shinde, MIP, June Williamson for their constructive input on the projects! Also, much appreciation for the critics who evaluated the work over the course of the semester: Nathaly Agosto, Tricia Martin, Brian McGrath, Alessandro Orsini, Damon Rich, Esther Zipori! Last but not least: it wouldn’t have happened without the leadership of Planning Officer, Chris Watson!

Free and open to the public! Everyone is welcome!

We are thrilled to announce that NJIT’s College of Architecture and Design’s Master of Infrastructure Planning (MIP) studio’s submission to the 2019 Schindler Global Award has been selected as one of twelve finalists! Our proposal, “Hydrohoods of To-morrow,” envisions a new, net-zero neighborhood unit that will equitably and sustainably shape the future of Mumbai’s Eastern Waterfront. The students have been invited to attend the award ceremony in Mumbai on May 10th, where the rankings of the finalists will be revealed. Wow! Congratulations to all the students!
