Patsy Mink’s legacy is defined by her commitment to justice and equal opportunity. Her leadership helped reshape education for millions of women in the United States.

Taking action is an essential part of learning. CCI Scholars participated in a mock interview session with the support of Rutgers–Newark Career Resources and Exploration, practicing professional communication.

The session also gave students the opportunity to identify areas for growth, helping them better understand their strengths and work on their areas of development.

“Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race” is a book that tells the story of four women whose ambition and mathematical brilliance played a vital role in shaping early U.S. space history.
