To honor the brave first responders, the innocent victims, resolute members of the military and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary bravery in the face of the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, please share a moment of silence.

The following are programmatic elements to consider when for your 9/11 anniversary observance, per the 9/11 website:

Observe moments of silence

Observe a moment of silence on September 11 at any or all of the following times marking key moments on 9/11. As in years past, the moments below will be observed as part of the official 9/11 anniversary ceremony held at the World Trade Center for victims’ families.

8:46 a.m.: Hijackers deliberately crash American Airlines Flight 11 into floors 93 through 99 of the North Tower (1 WTC).

9:03 a.m.: Hijackers deliberately crash United Airlines Flight 175 into floors 77 through 85 of the South Tower (2 WTC).

9:37 a.m.: Hijackers deliberately crash American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon, near Washington, D.C.

9:59 a.m.: The South Tower (2 WTC) collapses.

10:03 a.m.: After learning of the other attacks, passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 launch a counterattack on hijackers aboard their plane to try to seize control of the aircraft. In response, the hijackers crash the plane into an empty field near Shanksville, Pa.

10:28 a.m.: The North Tower (1 WTC) collapses. The 16-acre World Trade Center site is in ruins, with collateral damage affecting all adjacent properties and streets. A rescue and recovery effort begins immediately

To give you guys an idea- we (fiancé and myself) placed an offer on a home in Townsend. Our offer was NOT accepted. People are still over paying, or I had a crappy realtor 🙃 (joke in case you missed it because I was the realtor in this offer).

We were quick but not as aggressive for this offer. Sometimes it’s better to shoot your shot with a lower offer rather than moving forward with the consequences of over paying, which can have a negative effect on the property down the line in this market.

In this predicament- the house was already priced high, my offer was below asking, had there not been a desperate buyer, we would’ve gotten this home in the bag. The house was on the market for quite some time as well. In this case- I say the seller lucked out.

In reality, inventory is still low, and the amount of buyers is still high. Supply is low, demand is high. Find yourself a realtor who knows the comps in certain areas and can determine a FAIR market value without pushing you to your highest and best offer.
