This is what INCLUSION means.
This is what BELONGING means.
At EPIC, we are a not a “special” gym just for people with disabilities. We partner with community gyms like the YMCA of Delaware and the Hockessin Athletic Club to support individuals with disabilities in the community gym environment.
Reducing the barriers for adult with disabilities to participate in fitness, engage with the community, and build on their social skills.

Please join us for a celebratory performance featuring brand-new work on Tuesday, May 19, which will mark the culmination of our Totally Awesome Players (TAP 2) spring session.
🎭 TAP 2 Performance
⏰ Tuesday, May 19 at 7pm at Delaware Theatre Company
✨ Free and open to the public, suggested donation $5/person
The Totally Awesome Players (TAP) Program, established in 1992, and the newer TAP 2 ensemble, founded in 2012, employ acting skills and the creation of a play to increase the collaborative skills and active creativity of adults with intellectual disabilities. These troupes meet weekly, and participants create, write, rehearse, and perform a play. These original plays are presented on the main stage of the Delaware Theatre Company.

Thanks to Wilmington University for sponsoring TAP.
Totally Awesome Players is generously supported by the Delaware Division of the Arts, M&T Bank, and Nemours Children’s Health.
TAP is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.

The fitness industry says “fitness is for everyone”…
But for millions of people with disabilities, that still isn’t true in practice
The biggest barrier usually isn’t motivation from gyms and trainers. It’s a lack of education
Most trainers were never taught how to adapt movements, modify workouts, or confidently coach athletes with disabilities
👉 That needs to change
Adaptive fitness isn’t a niche. It’s the future of health coaching.
