Join us with Brick City Peace Collective and the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery for a Peace skating event!

Friday, June 30th, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
10 17th Ave., Newark, NJ (On Livingston)
Come out and have some fun while learning how to reduce violence in our community. We have a professional skater and a coach to teach beginners to get up and go during the event. There will be loaner roller skates, refreshments, and some great music. All abilities are welcome; bring your family, friends, and coworkers for this fun event, and help spread peace in our community. This is a great chance to decrease stress, increase physical activity, and help promote peace.

💜October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To bring awareness and remember DV victims purple balloons were released

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Domestic Violence is a pattern of physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse, which includes, but is not limited to, threats, intimidation, isolation, and/or financial control. Domestic Violence can continue over a long period of time and becomes more frequent and more severe over time.

Domestic violence can happen to ANYONE regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender.

In the state of New Jersey, an act of domestic violence happens every 7.29 minutes. Nearly three out of four (74%) Americans personally know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic violence.

About 1 in 7 MEN ages 18 and older have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner.
Almost half (48.8 percent) of all men have dealt with some sort of psychological aggression by an intimate partner.



Too many are losing their lives.

1 years ago 2 women answered a call to ministry. They decided to trust the process and cross INTO the PINK SANDS OF THETA by way of the Dream Girls ship. For the past year these two women have dedicated their time to serve in ministry and sisterhood. They have devoted their time in the positions of chapter secretary, fundraising coordinator , personal health care advisors aannnddd being their sisters keeper. Wherever there is a need these ladies are willing to assist.
