Kevin swabbed at Boston College in 2015. Almost 11 years later, he was at a March Madness watch party when the email came through. 🏀

A mix of nerves and inspiration. Then an easy yes. He told his fiancé first, then family and friends, and everyone showed up for him. 🙌

36 hours after his donation, he was back on the soccer field. No pain. Just back to life. ⚽

62 people walked into the Maryland Zoo's Brew at the Zoo and walked out as potential stem cell donors. 🍺🦁

Our partners at There Goes My Hero were on the ground making it happen, turning a fun weekend event into something with real stakes for blood cancer patients waiting on a match. That kind of reach, showing up where people already are, is exactly how you grow a registry.

Patrick saw a story about someone donating during the pandemic and made a decision right then. ✊

He figured: if he could donate and his body would regenerate what he gave, why not help someone who might be at their lowest point physically? Simple logic. Big impact.

His donation took him to Seattle, one of his favorite cities, and his mom drove up just to be there with him on donation day. 🤝 After it was done he went about his day. Got some great food, did a little shopping, enjoyed the weather. Just like that.

He'd meet his recipient in a heartbeat. He'd donate again without question. 💬

A product training specialist who travels to casinos teaching dealers new table games, collects Monopoly games, and loves to travel. Just a regular person who decided to show up for a stranger. 🎲

Almost every year, a biology teacher at Fresno State University High School in Fresno, CA, has hosted a stem cell registration drive as her seniors walk out the door. This year, 13 of them joined the register before heading into their next chapter. ❤️

The teacher is also part of the DKMS Educator Impact Fellowship, and it shows. This is what it looks like when educators use their platform to make a real difference in the world beyond the classroom. 🙌
