The only thing better than Roger is Roger and Rosti! Back in 2021, in celebration of Roger's 72nd birthday, Stay-Focused team members Gregg and Ryan Chalmers brought Roger a dog! During our summer programs, Rosti spends his time in New Hampshire getting lots of attention, and otherwise spends his time living his best life in NYC, where he gets to interact with lots of people and dogs and is the star of the show.

This year, we celebrated Roger's 77th birthday with the kickoff of a fundraiser in tandem with the Geneva Half Marathon in May! We're 52% of the way to his $25,000 goal and are eager to keep the momentum going! We're so grateful for all of the support shown so far and thank you to all of the friends of Stay-Focused, and the fans of Roger and Rosti.

Today we celebrate all of the women who make our org as special as it is!! We have so many incredible women who help lead us, and we’re thrilled to have them on our team. Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing ladies out there!

Don’t need a reunion trip to have a Stay-Focused reunion! Director Ryan Chalmers is hitting the hardwood this weekend with mentors David Ramos and Stephen Machak at the Penn State Wheelchair basketball tournament, with several other Stay-Focused alumni in attendance. Best of luck to all competing this weekend and all our athlete alumni in their respective sport seasons!

It's time for a ! Our "Run With Roger" birthday fundraiser has kicked off to an explosive start. With 44% of our goal of $25k for Roger's May race, we're well on our way!! Since Roger has dedicated so much of his life, time, energy and passion to Stay-Focused, we figured there's no better time to get to know our leader and founder than now as he preps for the Geneva Half Marathon!

Prior to Stay-Focused, Roger wore many hats and stayed close to the world of higher education. From 1976-1991, Rog worked at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. The first 4 years were spent as the Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs, and the last 11 years were spent as Director of Career Management. After his time at Dartmouth, he shifted to the same role at Kellogg at Northwestern from 1991 to 1995. After that, he made his way into NYC to management and consulting firm Booz-Allen Hamilton - working as Director of University Recruiting for two years, and then Director of Career Management at Booz-Allen until 2005, two years after Stay-Focused had become a public charity in 2003. Now, he still calls NYC home, with Stay-Focused being his sole focus.

During his time at Tuck, Roger frequented Cafe La Fraise enough to receive a profile in a magazine as one of their best customers! To this day, a restaurant recommendation from Roger is held in the highest esteem. He's made many impactful connections and friendships through life, including Dean Don Jacobs at an MBA graduation at Kellogg, and continues to forge connections all over Cayman, the States, and even globally. Lastly, once a runner, always a runner - we see Roger running down Tuck Drive (and we swear he's barely aged a day!).

So join us as we continue to get to know Roger Muller, and we continue to cheer on his efforts to raise $25,000 for Stay-Focused in honor of the Geneva Half Marathon!

Run with Roger: A Birthday Fundraiser for Stay-Focused By Stay-Focused Inc

Happy birthday to Stay-Focused founder, Roger Muller!! We couldn't do what we do without Roger's passion and commitment to Stay-Focused and we're so grateful for all he's done for the org since our humble beginnings. This year, we'll be Running with Roger as he takes on the Geneva Half Marathon in May in efforts to raise money for Stay-Focused!

A note from our founder:

For my birthday on January 24th, I am excited to launch a birthday fundraiser in support of Stay-Focused. 2026 is year 23 for us and it has been an incredible journey. From certifying in diving our first two teens with disabilities in March of 2004 to now having certified 168 teens and young adults, our success has been immensely gratifying.

I have dual nationality with Switzerland and have spent a lot of time there both in the mountains and in Geneva. I worked as a waiter in a wonderful restaurant in the Swiss Alps after graduate school and loved the experience. Geneva will always be a special place for me, as I have fond memories of being there when I was young and it is my “happy” place.

I was in Geneva in May of last year when the Geneva Marathon was taking place and immediately decided I wanted to be part of it. I ran the NYC Marathon in 2024 to raise funds for Stay-Focused at the age of 75 and I decided it would indeed be my “last run around the five boroughs.” But that did not mean a Half Marathon, especially in Geneva, wasn’t a possibility. So, I am looking forward to running the Geneva Half Marathon on May 10th with a goal of raising $25,000 for our programs.
I will welcome donations of any amount to help me reach my goal. I honestly cannot think of a better way to celebrate turning 77 and will be immensely grateful for your support.

Happy holidays! We're excited to share below our recap of 2025 and express our immense gratitude for the ongoing support we have received.

Summer 2025 was a restorative summer for Stay-Focused full of laughs, smiles, singalongs, excellent diving, and new friendships and connections. We were blessed with pleasant weather, and lots of exciting dives. From turtles, to nurse sharks, to elusive sea horses, our divers enjoyed the Cayman seas that we call home. We enjoyed many games of Mafia, meals together at our favorite restaurants - some new and some long standing supporters, and moments spent forging lifelong friendships. With our support from our long-standing dive op partners Red Sail Sports, and Sunset Divers, we've now certified 168 teens and young adults with disabilities in the past 22 years.

On November 2nd, our Charity Partner Team in this year's 2025 TCS New York City Marathon did an outstanding job in representing our organization and raising funds for programs. All 15 runners, our largest team yet, crossed the Finish Line and raised $107,433 (from 475+ donors) exceeding our goal of $100k, making it our most successful fundraiser to date!

We thank our hotel sponsors (Grand Cayman Marriott , The Westin Grand Cayman, and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman) who provide generous support and give us a place to call home during program. We're grateful for our numerous restaurant sponsors who welcome us each year, and we're grateful for Majestic Tours for transport around the island.

We're already busy planning next summer's programs and we cannot wait to be back on island in 2026! We're celebrating the blessings of the holiday season (including a successful fundraiser!), and we offer a heartfelt thank you to all of our friends, sponsors, and donors who make it possible for Stay-Focused to embark on its 23rd year with enthusiasm and confidence.
