This Global Running Day, we’re celebrating the incredible community of runners who turn movement into impact. From marathons to morning jogs, every step taken in support of Pencils of Promise helps create opportunities for children through education. 📚

Because of our runners, students in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos are learning in safe classrooms, gaining access to clean water and hygiene resources and building brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

To every runner who has fundraised, trained, raced, donated, cheered or shared our mission along the way: thank you for proving that when passion meets purpose, real change happens.

💜 Together for a 💜

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, Pencils of Promise Ghana brought together students, teachers, health officials, and community members at Kpando Kpodzi E.P. Basic School to raise awareness around menstrual health and hygiene. ✏

From a community procession through the streets to a radio talk show and a grand celebration with 5 schools, the day was filled with learning, energy and powerful conversations that help break stigma and support girls in school. 💛✏

Because every girl deserves to learn with confidence and dignity.

Every child deserves a strong start. ✏️💛

We recently celebrated the groundbreaking at Kave M.A. Basic School for a new classroom block complete with a store, urinal and office, created specifically for kindergarten learners.

This project is about more than classrooms. It is about creating a safe and inspiring space where children can begin their educational journey with confidence, curiosity and joy.

We are incredibly grateful to for making this project possible and for honoring the legacy of Andrew Henley Sullivan through this meaningful investment in education. 💛✏

Because when children have access to quality learning environments from the very beginning, the impact can last a lifetime. ✨

This Menstrual Health Day, we’re recognizing the importance of dignity, access and education for every student.

Small improvements can make a big difference in a student’s daily experience at school. ✏️💛

Recently, the community of Tercer Centro, Nuevo Xebalanguac celebrated the inauguration of a school improvement project that included 1 new classroom, safer school entrance stairs and renovated bathrooms with new handwashing stations.

This project was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of Alex Müller and Roofless Cats. Because of their support, students now have access to a safer, healthier and more welcoming environment where they can learn and grow with dignity.

For these children, this is more than a school improvement project. It is a reminder that people across the world believe in their future.

We officially broke ground on two new classrooms that will soon become spaces where students can learn, grow and dream bigger for their futures.

At Pencils of Promise, we believe education creates opportunity and infrastructure is a critical part of that journey. Safe, welcoming classrooms help students stay engaged, support teachers and strengthen entire communities for years to come.

A new chapter begins at Ogome Anglican Basic School. ✏🏫🎉

We officially broke ground on a 2-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities and the renovation of existing classroom spaces. Through our partnership with Pencils of Promise and Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, students and teachers will soon have safer, more supportive spaces to learn and grow. 💛✏

Every classroom built is another step toward greater opportunity.
