We appreciated hearing from Nina Robertson, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation, about key initiatives for which the Foundation is raising funds, including enhancements to the Children’s Garden and new music studios that will allow library users to have private practice spaces and use instruments available through the Library.

We had a stimulating evening with Dr. John Delfs, neuroscientist and Founder & President of The Good Wolf Project, an organization dedicated to harnessing the power of our brain, based in brain science. John Delfs with our Club President Angela Cermele.

Our Club had a very good meeting hosted by our Member Major Luxene of the Salvation Army at their building in New Rochelle. Major Luxene awarded our member Barbara Crane with a recognition award. Rotary District 7230 DG Garrett Capobianco was in attendance for the evening. The New Rochelle Rotary Club is raising donations for the storm ravaged Jamaica. They are in need of many things. Donations of non perishable goods and children's clothing can be dropped off at the Salvation Army at 22 Church Street in New Rochelle.

Rotary was pleased to have as our speaker this week the President of the Westchester chapter of the United Nations Association, Marcia Brewster. We were also glad to have Board member Colleen Gardephe with us, pictured here with Marcia and Rotarians Angela Cermele and Barbara Crane.
