Wooded areas are much the same as they had been over a century ago, and current park trails follow the alignment of the early horse farm’s trails and drives.
Ward Acres Conservancy is a non-profit volunteer organization, founded by private citizens in partnership with the City of New Rochelle, that exists to protect and restore the historically significant and ecologically fragile landscape of Ward Acres Park. Ward Acres is a 62-acre park in the Wykagyl section of the City of New Rochelle, in Westchester County, New York, with 30+ acres of open fields,
