โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š Juneteenth & Civic Season: What Is Your Wish for America? โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š

Today we celebrate Juneteenth and the beginning of Civic Season, a nationwide movement led by Made By Us that takes place each year between Juneteenth and July 4th. Civic Season encourages people to connect with history, engage with their communities, and reflect on the future they hope to help shape.

As part of Civic Season and Americaโ€™s upcoming 250th anniversary, the New Rochelle America 250 Wish Project invites visitors to share their hopes, dreams, and wishes for the nationโ€™s future. Through this interactive community art installation, every wish becomes part of a growing display of community voices and aspirations.

Wishes collected in New Rochelle will join thousands of others being gathered at libraries, museums, and community spaces across the country as part of the national Wish Wall initiative coordinated by Made By Us.

๐Ÿ“ Visit the America 250 Wish Project at New Rochelle Public Library through June 23 and add your voice to this growing community artwork

๐Ÿ€ A Wish Came True! ๐Ÿ€"Knicks Win Championship."

One of the wishes shared on our America 250 Wish Wall at the New Rochelle Public Library simply read:

"Knicks Win Championship."

After last night's incredible victory, New York fans have plenty to celebrate! ๐ŸŽ‰

The Wish Wall has been filling with hopes, dreams, drawings, and ideas for America's future. Some wishes are heartfelt, some inspiring, some ambitious, and some are pure New York optimism.

Presented by the New Rochelle Downtown BID in partnership with the New Rochelle Public Library and the New Rochelle 250 Committee, the City of New Rochelle initiative leading local commemorations of America's 250th anniversary, this interactive exhibit invites visitors of all ages to share their hopes for America's future and explore the wishes already shared by neighbors, friends, and families.

The children's drawings are especially wonderful and offer a unique glimpse into how our youngest residents imagine America's future.

๐Ÿ“… On display through June 23 during regular library hours.

There's still one more week to visit, add your wish, and become part of this growing community conversation.
