October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To raise awareness and support the cause Team Members and residents wore pink today. We also enjoyed pink lemonade, pink w**e, and pink treats for our social hour. When someone asked why all the pink I replied that it was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, “I didn’t realize that” he said. A small step to raising awareness was achieved today in our community.

Fall is a beautiful time at Coopers Corner and we are ready! Residents created gorgeous Fall wreaths for their doors adding beauty to the community for us all to enjoy.

Congratulations to Ellione, our latest Team Member of the month! As a Care Manager, Ellione is reliable, hard working, and caring. She is also always willing to step in and be involved with all elements of the community. Thank you Ellione for your dedication to Coopers Corner!

We had a lively Happy Hour sponsored by Phyllis from Affirmed Home Care with entertainment by Lisa Pellagrino. Thank you so much Phyllis!

We had a nice trip to our local Barnes & Noble for lunch and shopping!

Sending heartfelt wishes for a peaceful and reflective Yom Kippur. May this day bring clarity, forgiveness, and a fresh start for all.

It’s hard to believe National Assisted Living Week is over! On our final day we held a fundraiser - a mini Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We had donated raffle items and collected $251 that went directly to our team for the county wide walk on October 4th. Thank you to Fox Rehab, Royal Homecare, and Dana for donating! Thank you as well to all the residents and team members who participated!

After the fundraiser we gave out awards for the week and ended the day with a lively Happy Hour with entertainment by Michael Zuko. What a great week!
