🔥 Show-Ready F-350 at Legend Auto! 🔥

Another repeat customer trusted Legend Auto with their latest project, and we were happy to help bring this Ford F-350 one step closer to completion.

For this job, I refinished both the inside and outside of a new fiberglass raised hood, making sure every surface received the same attention to detail. I also painted the fog lamp bezels (pictured) and wiper arms to give the front end a clean, finished look.

It's often the small details that separate a good-looking truck from a great-looking one. By refinishing the hood inside and out and taking care of the finishing touches, this F-350 has a polished appearance from every angle.

We appreciate customers who continue to trust Legend Auto with their projects, and we're proud to help keep their vehicles looking their best.

🛻 🔧 Another Rust Repair Wrapped Up at Legend Auto!

This 2012 F-150 belongs to a repeat customer. Previously, we repaired the rockers and cab corners. This time, the truck came in with rust holes in the box.

Sometimes I'm able to keep a repair below a bodyline or under mouldings. Why? To help keep the repair more cost-friendly for the customer while still delivering a quality, long-lasting repair.

For this project, I back-taped a bodyline on the box and stayed underneath the wheel lip mouldings to keep the repair area as small as possible and the cost down. While the truck was here, I also refinished and painted a new aftermarket bumper and completed the installation of the integrated LED pod lights, giving the front end a fresh, updated look.

The rust is gone, the truck looks sharp again, and it's ready for many more miles on the road. As always, a bubble bath and vacuum completed the job.

At Legend Auto, we take pride in finding repair solutions that make sense for both the vehicle and the customer's budget.

✨ Fresh detail and dent repair at Legend Auto!

This 2017 Touareg came in for dent repairs on the door and tailgate. After the repairs, we completed a brush touch-up and buff to bring the finish back to life. 👌

And of course, every vehicle leaves with a good cleaning so it looks its best when it heads back home. 🚘✨

✨ Project Complete at Legend Auto ✨

If you've been following along, you are just as excited about this one getting done as I am! This truck came in after a previous hack job repair attempt that begged to be redone.
I ended up rebuilding the rockers, cab corners, and making repairs to the bottom of the doors to bring everything back to new... the right way 😊

✅ Cab and doors painted

✅ Box, doors, and tailgate refinished

✅ Everything aligned and reassembled - including putting the box back on by myself 😉

When repairs are done properly, the goal is simple: it should look like nothing was ever repaired.

🚨 The owner does currently have the truck listed for sale.
If you're interested, send me a message and I'll send you the details.

🎨 Building It Back the Right Way

Once the metal work and shaping are complete, it's time to seal everything properly.

✅ Epoxy primer to protect the bare metal

✅ Filler primer to eliminate minor imperfections

✅ Rockers primed and blocked smooth

✅ Door bottom reseamed to duplicate factory

After repairing the door bottom, I re-seam the underside to match the original factory appearance and protection. Details like that matter for longevity.

Everything sanded, aligned, and ready to tape and paint.

We're getting close now.

👀 The Details You Don't See

When sectioning a panel into a vehicle, the real work begins after the welding.

There's extensive repair work required to make those welds disappear. In this cab corner alone, you can see how many factory body lines need to be replicated. Each one has to be carefully sculpted by hand so the repair looks like nothing ever happened.

The green paint marker shows just how many lines had to be matched and reshaped.

Replacing a rocker or cab corner isn't just cutting and welding - it's hours of hand sanding, shaping, checking door gaps, aligning panels, and making sure everything flows the way the factory intended.

This is the part most people never see.

🛠️ Making Repairs That Make Sense

On this project, I installed a new door bottom and repaired rust on the box side.

In a perfect world, full panel replacement would be the option — but I also work with my customers’ budgets. When a cost-effective repair can still be done properly and hold up over time, I’ll always be upfront and make it work the right way.

There’s a difference between cutting costs and cutting corners.

At Legend Auto, I never cut corners. 🎨

More updates coming soon as I bring this one back to life.

🔧 Progress Update — Rebuilding It the Right Way

After cutting off the rocker that had been previously installed, it was clear the panel needed a complete redo. Large gaps had been filled with excessive weld material instead of properly fitted metal — which can lead to long-term issues.

I removed everything and started fresh.

Taking the time to fit panels correctly makes all the difference in durability and appearance.

Quality repairs aren’t rushed — they’re rebuilt. 👌

🚗 New Project In the Shop at Legend Auto

This one came in after previous repair work didn’t quite hit the mark. As you can see in the photos, there were wide gaps from burn-through welds and multiple holes that needed to be properly repaired.

When it comes to structural panels and rust repair, shortcuts just don’t last. So I’ll be cutting out everything that was started and rebuilding it the right way from the ground up.

Stay tuned as I take this one from “attempted repair” to properly restored. 💪

✨ Another one cleaned up at Legend Auto ✨

Rust was hiding inside the door jamb on this one, so the door was removed and the area was properly sanded, epoxy primed, sealed, and refinished in tricoat white. I also brushed in chips and scratches around the rest of the car and finished it with a vacuum detail.

Clean prep, quality materials, and pride in every repair.
