Black faucets look sleek, modern, and elegant - but they also require the right care.
One of the most common mistakes we see is the use of harsh cleaners, abrasive sponges, scrub pads, or aggressive chemicals. While they may remove buildup, they can also damage the finish, leaving behind dull spots, scratches, or permanent discoloration.
Many black fixtures have a special surface coating designed to protect the finish and maintain their appearance. Once that coating is damaged, the faucet may never look the same again.
That's why proper cleaning is about more than just getting a surface clean. It's about understanding what materials you're working with and using the right products and techniques to protect them.
At All Around Your House, your fixtures are in good hands. As Home Detailers, we don't just clean homes — we care for them. Knowing how to safely clean and maintain different surfaces is part of the expertise and experience we bring to every visit.
Because protecting your home's finishes is just as important as making them shine.
Popcorn ceilings are never as simple as they look.
A roof leak had damaged a large section of this ceiling, which meant part of the drywall had to be removed and replaced.
The biggest challenge wasn't the drywall repair itself. It was matching a decades-old popcorn texture that was originally applied using materials and techniques that aren't commonly used anymore.
To make things even more interesting, the homeowner did not want the entire ceiling repainted. The request was to repair and repaint only the affected area.
That's where many repairs give themselves away.
After replacing the drywall, we recreated the texture and then carefully blended the repaired area into the existing ceiling using Sherwin-Williams Ceiling Paint and a feathering technique. The goal was to avoid creating a visible paint line between old and new.
On projects like this, the paint matters just as much as the repair. A quality ceiling paint helps create a smoother transition between old and new.
Is it a perfect match? No. But it's probably as close as you're going to get without replacing the texture and repainting the entire ceiling.
Considering the age of the ceiling, the original texture, and the scope requested by the homeowner, we're very happy with how it turned out.

This right here is exactly why we insist on in-person walkthroughs.
Not because we want to make things complicated.
Not because we don’t trust people.
But because:
“Just a quick wipe down”
and
“a full-day hazard cleanup”
can sometimes look VERY different in real life.
We’ve walked into homes that needed:
extra labor
protective equipment
odor treatment
appliance removal
specialty cleaning
safety precautions
…all after being told:
“It shouldn’t take long.”
And to be fair - sometimes families genuinely don’t realize how overwhelming the situation has become.
Especially when:
elderly parents are involved
someone lives alone
health or mental health struggles are part of the picture
That’s also why these situations deserve compassion - not judgment.
But from a business perspective, this is exactly why professional walkthroughs matter.
Square footage and room count alone does not tell the story.

We’re pretty sure this kitchen was last updated around the time Stranger Things took place.
Some homes just need someone to finally see the potential.
This kitchen used to feel dark, chopped up, and stuck in another decade. Now it feels open, clean, bright, and like it actually belongs to the rest of the home again.
The black island, light floors, custom cabinetry, new staircase finish -every detail completely changed the atmosphere of this space.
The homeowner had a really good eye for where this space could go, we just helped bring it there.
This one was a fun one to bring to life.

Most people think paint is just about color.
It’s really not.
The same room can suddenly feel taller, wider, warmer, brighter or less awkward, just by changing where the color goes. No renovation. No moving walls. Just smart placement.
Honestly, some rooms fight you a little.
Long hallways. Low ceilings. Weird proportions. Dark corners. Paint can help balance all of that visually when it’s done intentionally.
That’s why we always look at the entire space first instead of just asking:
“What color do you want?”
Because the goal is not only beautiful walls.
The goal is a room that feels right when you walk into it.

One of our favorite parts of this job?
Leaving homes a little lighter, cleaner, and happier than we found them.
May your day be beautiful and your floors be crumb free. 🤍

Proof that “self-clean mode” is sometimes more of a suggestion than a solution.
Fortunately, restoring homes is kind of our thing.

Some homes hold more than furniture.
Sometimes it’s the piano your children grew up around.
The one that stayed through birthdays, holidays and decades of memories.
Some things can be replaced.
Some pieces become part of a family's story and no insurance in the world can replace them.
That difference matters to us.
That’s why premium home care is about more than cleaning.
It’s about trust, attention and treating every home with the care and respect it deserves.

Some businesses are created.
Others are built through years of experience, pressure, mistakes, growth, and persistence.
All Around Your Business LLC was born out of everything All Around Your House LLC has lived.
This is not a rebrand.
Not a pivot.
Not a trend.
It’s the natural evolution of years spent building something real.
A new chapter begins.
