Huge thank you to our Access Tusc Transit staff and drivers who showed up on Monday after a weekend of heavy snow and helped dig out vehicles so service could continue on Tuesday morning. Beginning January 28, 2026, Tuscarawas County Medicaid recipients will call the local Non-Emergency Transportation organizations directly to schedule rides for their Medicaid appointments. Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services (TCJFS) has agreements with AccessTusc, Horizons, Inc., and Society for Equal Access to begin to take calls directly from Medicaid clients beginning 1/28/26 to schedule their transportation to Medicaid appointments. TCJFS will continue to schedule the rides through 1/27/26. With this change, clients will have the choice to decide on which of these three providers they want to ride with. We are streamlining the process so the clients can work directly with the transportation agency for scheduling. Please see the attached document for more information pertaining to the three agencies, their hours of operation, contact information, etc.

New Philadelphia, OH — Beginning January 28, 2026, Tuscarawas County Medicaid recipients will call the local Non-Emergency Transportation organizations directly to schedule rides for their Medicaid appointments. Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services (TCJFS) has agreements with AccessTusc, Horizons, Inc., and Society for Equal Access to begin to take calls directly from Medicaid clients beginning 1/28/26 to schedule their transportation to Medicaid appointments. In addition, Medicaid clients can also request transportation assistance from their Medicaid managed care providers. Medicaid managed care members can call the Ohio Medicaid Hotline at 1-800-324-8680 to schedule transportation or locate their provider on the TCJFS website www.tcjfs.org.

On the morning of 1/28/26, TCJFS will be updating their website and phone system with the streamlined process for calling the local providers directly. We will also be posting updates on our page: https://www.facebook.com/tcjfs.

Today, our office staff & drivers celebrated the release of the grinch adult happy meal from McDonald’s with our own “Grinch Day”!

We made the office feel “grinchy”, celebrating the little things that bring us all together!
