2016 was a big year for little Casey! My first ever professional musical, and what a special one it was. Thank you for sending this memory and sending me down a rabbithole of other great memories from that year!

How it started vs. how it’s going 🥹

Last night we opened The Addams Family at Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts

This show is not only the culmination of my music direction studies at Northwestern, but also my first time keyboard conducting a musical, something that little Casey used to dream about.

I’m so grateful for this amazing group—working with director Chris Ramirez and choreographer Nich O'Neil has been a delight. The cast and crew are so talented!

And, most importantly, the best music team: Clara Shapiro, Henry Tate, Elizabeth Hare, and Brandon Baade!

I went in search of my phather, but he was not in his usual box… was even more beautiful than I imagined!

Working on the next draft of and some of the most fun I’ve been having is bolstering stage directions. With our production in June, this scene just had a one sentence description. It seems like a little thing, but I love watching these ideas grow and change!

Happy opening weekend to Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 ☄️

It has been a joy to assist the music team of this brilliant production of one of my favorite shows!

, with a legendary creative team, company, and orchestra in tow, have made something truly extraordinary. I’m in awe and grateful to have had a front row seat through the process. Go see it!
