💡 Simple Ways to Save Energy (and Money!) at Home 💡

Looking for easy ways to lower your utility bills without spending a lot? Small changes can make a big difference!

🏡 ☀️ In the Winter: Open your south- and west-facing curtains during the day to let the sunshine naturally warm your home. This simple trick could help reduce your energy bill by 2–12%!

🌞 🪟 In the Summer: Keep blinds and curtains closed during the hottest part of the day to help keep your home cooler and reduce the strain on your air conditioner.

🚿 💧 Save Water & Energy: Replace older showerheads and faucets with WaterSense®-labeled fixtures. An average family can save 2,700 gallons of heated water each year while using less energy—without sacrificing water pressure.

🍽️ ⚡ Think Small in the Kitchen: Heating up leftovers or cooking a small meal? Use a microwave or toaster oven instead of your full-size oven. Smaller appliances can use up to 50% less energy for smaller portions.

Every little change adds up—for your wallet and for the environment! 🌎💚

💛 Help Us Celebrate Our Amazing Breastfeeding Moms! 💛

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week in August, our WIC team is planning a special celebration to recognize and support the incredible moms and families in our community. We'd love to make this event extra special—and we could use your help!

We're looking for local businesses, community partners, and generous individuals who would be interested in donating items, gift cards, giveaways, refreshments, or other goodies to help celebrate our moms. Every donation, big or small, helps us show these families just how valued and appreciated they are.

If you're interested in donating, partnering with us, or know a business that might like to help, please comment below, send us a message, or tag them in this post! Together, we can make this a memorable celebration for the families we serve. 💙

Thank you for supporting moms, babies, and breastfeeding in our community!
