The presence and involvement of a father figure, whether biological or not, is a powerful factor in a child's development, contributing to their emotional, social, and academic well-being, and influencing their future success.
Here's to all of the father figures who are out there making a difference in someone's life. Have a Happy and Blessed Father's Day

What a PAW-some blessing! 🐾
A huge thank you to Barb from Lawrence County Comfort Canines and her wonderful handler, Jan Grigsby, for visiting our guests and staff at both our Croton Avenue location and our Women’s Ministry at Hope Place on Wednesday.
Barb brought so much joy, comfort, and love everywhere she went. Everyone enjoyed a little “therapy time” with this sweet, social, and loving pup — and we were reminded of the simple ways God shows His kindness and care through His creation.
Thank you again, Barb and Jan, for sharing such a special blessing with our City Rescue Mission family! 🐶💛

Last week, members of our team had the honor of attending the Citygate Network Annual Conference, and what a blessing it was.
We were refreshed through powerful worship, encouraged by meaningful fellowship, and equipped with proven strategies and practical takeaways to strengthen the work God has called us to do here in Western Pennsylvania. It was a gift to gather with more than 1,200 brothers and sisters from missions across North America, all united by a shared heart to serve those in need with the love of Christ.
We were also humbled and grateful that City Rescue Mission was recognized with the Award of Merit for Missions in the category of extended video with budgets up to $4 million for our video, “Real Help.” This award is an honor for our team and a beautiful reflection of their creativity, storytelling, and commitment to sharing the hope and dignity found in this work.

As we return home, we are excited to share what we learned with our entire team and continue growing in how we serve. Our prayer is that everything we do would reflect the love, compassion, dignity, and grace of Christ to every person who walks through our doors.
We were blessed to have our friends from Plain Grove Presbyterian Church drop in Sunday to serve our guests and the community a home-cooked meal as part of our Bring-A-Meal (BAM!) program.
Meatballs, ravioli, fresh Italian bread, fruit, salad, and desserts were all on the menu - as well as the big smiles and warm personalities that this group always brings!
Thank you again to Plain Grove Presbyterian - your continued support is a blessing to the Mission, our guests, and our community!
