🏁 HISTORY MADE AT DOVER NASCAR NATIONAL SERIES RACE 🏁
History was made this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway as Dystany Spurlock became the first Black woman ever to compete in one of NASCAR’s three national touring series races.
Spurlock took to the track Friday night during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Monster Mile, driving the No. 69 truck for MBM Motorsports in front of thousands of fans at Dover.
The groundbreaking moment marks a major milestone for diversity in NASCAR and motorsports as a whole. Spurlock, a Virginia native, previously built her racing career in motorcycle drag racing before transitioning into stock car racing and ARCA competition.
Fans across the country have been celebrating the historic achievement online throughout the weekend as Dover hosted its massive NASCAR All-Star Race festivities.
Dover Motor Speedway has seen many unforgettable moments over the years, but this weekend added another historic chapter to Delaware racing history.
