#1 - The End - MammothWVH ☆☆☆☆☆

Wolf Van Halen released his 3rd album on October 24th, and it is awesome! Wolf has carved out his own path in the Rock world. This guy is super talented, and like the first two albums, he played every instrument and sings. Way better than.....well just listen to 'I Really Wanna', and connect the dots. I also love this whole record. 'One Of A Kind', 'The Spell', 'Better Off', 'Happy', and 'The End', really stand out for me though. He also puts on a great show. Go see him in these small places now, because he'll be headlining arenas before long.

#2 - Blessed - Crack The Sky ☆☆☆☆☆

The 2nd Crack The Sky release this year! Officially released on November 28th, the new album, their 21st, was a complete surprise to me. They will always have a spot on my countdowns. As you know, I've been a huge fan of this band since I was 11yo when their debut was released in 1975. After 50 years, they are still putting out incredible music, and touring to back it up. I love this whole album, but the first single, 'Imagination', along with 'Kiss The Dog', and 'Blessed', 'Brain Police ', 'I Can't Walk On Water', 'Artificial Man', 'It's All In My Head', and 'The Dance' are my faves.

#3 - Everest - Halestorm ☆☆☆☆☆

Lzzy Hale and Halestorm shine on their 6th album released August 8th. Personally, I think it's their best album. The lead off single was 'Everest', 2nd one with 'Darkness Always Wins', a 3rd, 'Rain Your Blood On Me' and lastly, 'Like A Woman Can', which is my favorite song on the record. Just a great rock album!

#4 - Live In Pompeii MCMLXXII - Pink Floyd ☆☆☆☆☆

Live in Pompeii is a 1972 documentary film of the band performing an intimate concert in the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy, with no audience. Filmed in 1971, the movie features performances of songs from the Meddle album, such as "Echoes" and "One of These Days," and is intercut with shots of the ruins and the band working on The Dark Side of the Moon at Abbey Road Studios. The film, directed by Adrian Maben, has been digitally remastered in 4K with enhanced audio and sounds incredible!

#5 - Live Perpetual Change - Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks ☆☆☆☆1/2

I missed the chance to see this show, in my own backyard in Wilmington, Delaware, at the Grand Opera House. To me, Jon Anderson is the best one to sing these Yes songs. The Band Geeks are SOOOO good, you don't even notice the difference. Released March 25th. Lots of LIVE albums this year....

#6 - Nebraska '82 - Bruce Springsteen ☆☆☆☆☆

At the time of its original release date in September 1982, I was more into the rocking Bruce Springsteen and I really didn't like it. Too slow, too mellow. Why didn't he make 'Born To Run Again', 'Darkness On The Edge of 8th and Orange', 'The River II - Flooded My Damn House' ? I kinda shrugged him off, plus I was getting into heavier bands at the time. My best friend, who's an avid Bruce fan told me "one day you'll like it". I did and do, but not till I saw Bruce live about 4 or 5 times. Now he throws together this box set with Live songs, early versions of BITUSA songs, demos of Nebraska songs, and included is 'Electric Nebraska'. To me, that's the one I wanted to come out, but I really have come to love acoustic Nebraska (Remastered).

#7 - The Hives Forever, Forever The Hives - The Hives ☆☆☆☆

Hailing from Sweden, this is one of those "The" bands in the late 90's/00's (Strokes, White Stripes, Black Keys). I bought their 2000 CD 'Veni Vidi Vicious' and really liked it. Their later albums didn't really latch onto me, but this one, their 7th, did. Released on August 29th, It's fast, infectious and fun to drive to. My poor steering wheel taking heavy riffs on this one. I dig this whole album.

#8 - Kick 'Em Where It Hurts (Live) - Pretenders ☆☆☆☆1/2

And like it when they do it! They put on such a great show, and here, their 7th LIVE album, they play a handful of songs from the last few albums, and of course a few oldies. Still sounding great after all these years.

#9 - Crack The Sky (1st Album Live-50th Anniversary) - Crack The Sky ☆☆☆☆☆

One of my favorite bands and albums of all time, the debut album played live, in order, some in the way they perform now on stage. I can't get enough of this band! Released June 20th.

#10 - Land Of Hope and Dreams (Live EP) - Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band ☆☆☆☆1/2

This 4 song LIVE EP came out on May 21st. Recorded in England, 4 songs that were from the opening night show, reflect the times we're all living in at the moment.
