After submitting a grant request to the East Montgomery Community Improvement District (EMCID), the Friends of R. B. Tullis Library won the grant, and then matched EMCID's funds.

On June 14, 2021 Janet King, President of Friends, presented a check for $10,000 to Raye Morello, Assistant Branch Manager of the RB Tullis Branch Library.
