To all of the moms and dads out there looking for a change and some words of encouragement, I’m here to tell you: go for it!!! After years of trying to go back to school, constantly dropping out. Then, entering college again when I was 5 months pregnant, I finally graduated with my Bachelors degree in Art. I’m more determined than ever to not only continue forward for my husband and daughter, but for myself.

I remember breaking nights with our newborn knowing I had class in a few hours. I remember having to finish my homework and projects while I had my daughter in my arms. There have been many days that I saw the sun lower for the night and rise for the morning while trying to finish my painting assignments with no sleep for over 24 hours. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my family and friends and most importantly my husband.

Let me keep it real: it wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work and dedication not to give up. I’m not here to sell you a dream. What I can tell you that nothing is impossible. If you want better and what to go for your goals, then all you gotta do is go for it. Figure out your game plan and play the plan. Find out who is in your corner and don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you want something bad enough, do what you can to make it happen. Nothing in life is impossible. Hard work will produce results.

I’m going to be taking the next few days off, but then it’s right back to the hustle. I have so many new and exciting projects and paintings I cannot way to share. It’s only going up from here.
