150 years ago today, a barefoot troublemaker from a sleepy Missouri river town walked into American literature — and never left. 🎣 On June 9, 1876, Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was published. A century and a half later, it has never once gone out of print. Here’s our favorite part: Twain wrote it during his Hartford years, and the first American edition rolled off the presses of Hartford’s own American Publishing Company.
