Level Up Summit: Empowering The Future Through Gaming brought together K–12 students, HBCU talent, families, educators, and community partners for a full day of panels, workshops, vendors, and the Battle of 295, where claimed the crown.

From learning how games connect to college and careers to seeing local organizations show up for youth, the energy in the Medfield Rec Center Esports Lab made it clear that Baltimore’s gaming future is bright.

Join at the Level Up Summit for a FREE video game character drawing workshop where you’ll learn how artists bring heroes, villains, and NPCs to life. From sketch to finished design, you’ll get hands-on tips, time to create your own character, and a chance to ask working creatives about careers in art and games.

When I launched in 2020 to keep students engaged during the pandemic, I never imagined it would grow into a lane that lets me make a real impact across Maryland and beyond.
