We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the continued support for Anthony's Barber shop - we feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community. As many of you know, we have been understaffed for quite some time now. We are happy to announce that we are now fully staffed and are accepting appointments as well as walk-ins. We are excited to be able to begin to better serve you all and hope you'll stop in to see us soon!

We are excited to finally get back to work on Tuesday. I cannot thank everybody enough for their support and kind words.

I want to personally thank Needham resident and friend Michael Gottesman and his local business BizTech Coaching. He personally went out of his way to help us out tremendously by setting up our website, gift certificate program and online booking program. We would not have been able to weather the storm without him and would not have had an easy way to continue business with all of these new guidelines. Thank you Michael!

Guidelines for customers:

1. All customers MUST make an appointment. We can not take walk-ins during the early stages of reopening. We ask any customer who makes an appointment to kindly show up on time as we cannot extend time on a service due to capacity restrictions.

2. All customers must provide and wear their own face mask/covering.

3. No customers can be in the waiting area. We are only permitted to allow one customer per barber in the shop at a given time.

4. No beard trims or straight razor face shaves are permitted at this time due to mask and safety regulations.

Guidelines and changes for barbers and the barbershop:

1. All barbers will wear a face mask.

2. All barbers will wear eye protection.

3. All barbers will wear gloves.

4. Barbers will sanitize chairs, tools, and stations for each customer using hospital grade sanitation.

5. Barbers will wash hands before each service (normal practice).

6. Clear curtains will be placed in between each barber chair.

7. A clean, disinfected cape/smock will be used on every customer.

8. A new neck strip will be used for every customer (normal practice).

Please note there will be a temporary price increase until the business can operate normally due to the increased supplies and services required to meet all of the guidelines and ensure the safety of the customers and workers. Gift certificates purchased will still be honored for the original purchase price.

Anthony's Barbershop will reopen on Tuesday June 2. We are taking the extra week to get the shop ready and meet all of the new guidelines required by the state. We want to provide the safest enviornment possible. We will post an entire list of all of the changes and new requirements to keep everybody up to date.

We have to temporarily switch to an appointment only system of taking customers. We can no longer take walk in customers in the early phases of reopening. We are currently testing out a new online booking program and will post it to both this page and our website in the next few days. This will allow customers to chose a service, time, and staff member that best suits one's schedule. We look forward to getting back to work and getting this system up and running.
