Here is a look back at our January–March 2026 highlights! We kicked off the season by celebrating Tu B’shvat and bringing amazing energy to our Purim festivities. The students had an absolute blast navigating our tricky Escape Room and singing classic Israeli holiday songs like "Makhela Aliza" together. Amidst the joy of these months, we also paused to grieve the passing of Mati Caspi, honoring his immense legacy as one of Israel's greatest musical artists. We rounded out the season by diving right into our preparations for Passover, working hard on the Four Questions, the epic Passover story, the Ten Plagues, the Seder plate, and so much more!
We are off to an incredible start this year, and these past four months have been filled with so much laughter, everyday play, and amazing growth across all of our programs! Whether students are in our Hebrew speakers track or our Hebrew as a Second Language groups, seeing their fluency and confidence take root is exactly what our mishpacha program is all about. Across our different levels and classes, the kids are doing a fantastic job building their vocabulary and reaching new milestones. Our beginners have been busy mastering all 12 colors and practicing their print and script letters. Meanwhile, our more advanced learners have even dived into modern Hebrew literature, starting with Etgar Keret’s short stories! We've loved seeing everyone engage with immersive, hands-on projects, from celebrating Thanksgiving with a Toda song, to bringing the OR of Hanukkah into our classrooms with an exciting escape room. Between reviewing roots and vowels, solving word puzzles together, and exploring the winter season through music, there is truly something special happening in every single class. Together, we are building a beautiful, supportive community of learners, and we just can’t wait for all the exciting moments still ahead!
We started this month with a whole lot of cheer, and we are already off to an amazing year. The kids have completely blown us away with how fast they're picking things up and having fun along the way!

This year at The New Hebrew Program was anything but boring!
In our last class, we cracked escape box riddles, showed off our Israel trivia skills, raced through Hebrew bingo, and got competitive with spelling games (the kids asked for it!) Each group had their own adventures. Different ages and different lessons, and everyone had a chance to shine and show what they’ve learned in their own way.
One of the biggest highlights was wrapping up our family unit by creating our very own board games. Each one was a reflection of what we learned and who we are.
We ended the lesson just the way we like it: with a slideshow full of favorite moments, lots of laughter, and some seriously good ice cream! 🍦
What a journey… Here’s to more Hebrew, more joy, and more moments that stick with us long after the school year ends! 🥂

Yom Ha'atzmaut Celebration! 🇮🇱
What a fantastic day celebrating Israel's Independence!
Our activities included:
Israel Puzzle Challenge:
Kids constructed a detailed map of Israel, learning geography, cities and borders. The joy upon completion was unforgettable!
Symbols Matching Game:
Students matched Israeli symbols with their meanings and discovered their stories behind.
Creating Israeli ID Cards:
To experience a piece of Israeli daily life, students designed their own Israeli identity cards (תעודת זהות), including their names and personal information (all in Hebrew of course).
"Prove Your Israeliness" Escape Room:
Students tackled trivia questions, cracked Hebrew codes, searched for hidden symbols, and worked together to solve the final combination.
The determination on their faces was truly special - with peeking at answers being their toughest challenge! 😄
The kids really appreciated their lasting memories while deepening their connection to Israel's culture, history, and significance! ❤️🇮🇱

Our Passover celebration was unleavened with fun! 😉 We cracked the code of the Exodus in our escape room, putting the story in order, plaguing ourselves with the correct sequence & Gematria of the 10, and mastering the Seder plate foods. The excitement didn't stop there - our Passover Jeopardy game was a major hit, with lively rounds covering everything from iconic figures to delicious (and symbolic) foods. We warmed up our vocal cords and managed to squeeze in the Seder’s four questions. Happy Passover!
