Adventure Racing.. always moving forward ! A group of racers that give back by producing local races to challenge every level of the sport.

Race activities may include whitewater or flat-water canoeing /kayaking, mountain biking, orienteering, trail running/trekking and special challenges. Races range from 4 hour to our event of 26.2 hours. All level s of racers are welcomed.

For all you racers coming out at the end of May for the Uwharrie races, keep this in mind......

FYI: 16 years of racing out there and I have only ever seen 2 snakes..

Rattlesnakes and Bigfoot are the scariest things about Uwharrie. And of course, chiggers.
But did you know it's illegal to touch, let alone, kill a rattlesnake? They are protected under the NC Endangered Species Act. They REALLY rather not bite you - so it usually works out great to just leave them alone.
Also, Timber Rattlesnakes eat a lof of chiggers. Therefore, we love rattlesnakes.
