AFT Dog Training

●Mori has been training with us for 3 sessions so far. She needed help with leash manners and basic obedience. Even completing this task with another dog around, such as my dog Scarlett, is a big deal and her owners were so happy.
●Next session, we will be taking the training into a more real world scenario with a walk around town. Stay tuned!

●Congratulations to Marley! He graduated our AFT Private Sessions Program. He continues to strive and his owners are very committed to his training. He did so awesome yesterday that he earned himself a graduation bone and he was proudly showing it off as seen in the photos 😆. ●Time flies. Yesterday, was a big deal for me as I got to hangout with Atlas and his family at the The BW Bark and Brew Cafe at A Furry Tail Unleashed
●About 10 years ago, I got a call to help save a dog's life at an animal shelter, Common Sense for Animals as Atlas was not doing the best in a shelter environment. Actually, no one was able to get him out of his kennel. When I got there, I was able to leash him and walk him out of the shelter, and I made the decision he wasn't going back in, and coming to our facility at A Furry Tail Come True Too, Nazareth
●We donated all his training. Within a few weeks and amazing family adopted Atlas. More recently, I have gotten to know Steve and Sara more and they are amazing people. Steve owns Keystone Tier 1 Contracting (who I highly recommend) and Atlas would go to work with him sometimes. Atlas has grown up with their children, and other dog family members in his home, and even has a best friend that's a cat. 😆
●We thank them for adopting Atlas and giving him the loving family they have. ❤️
●You can also clearly see that Atlas and I both aged, him a little better than myself. 😆 🤣

●This is part of our AFT Basic Obedience Group Class. We were out for a pack walk for this session. After working in our controlled environment for the past few weeks, we were ready to put to work what the dogs and owners learned. Working in an uncontrolled environment can be challenging, but everyone did a great job! There were some minor things some dogs were struggling on, but we saw the issues and we will work on the next class. Our goal is not only will your dog know the basic commands after our program, but they should be able to loose leash walk, no matter the distractions. And what we saw yesterday, was night and day from how these dogs arrived on day 1. We are so looking forward to the next session. We are grateful we are part of this experience.
●Also, big thanks to Maize for using our working vest. She had a job to do and she was happy doing it. She carried the water and bowls in the vest. This is another way to give your dog a job and make them happy. Dogs were bred to have jobs or perform certain tasks, and that has been lost in many families that own dogs. We discuss this in our programs and we can help you find a new hobby or exercise to do with your dog. Maize was pooped afterwards 😆

●We had an extremely productive day training Marley. He is here for our AFT Private Sessions Program. He came to us struggling with leash reactivity, where his excitement on leash would cause him to become anxious. It would be difficult to calmy walk in dog friendly stores or even outdoors if he saw another dog. Marley was about a 9.5 out of 10 yesterday. We start our private sessions in a controlled environment at our dog training facility.
●By this session 4, we were ready to put to work what Marley and his owners had learned and boy did he do fantastic. Was there some work to do still? Yes. But we saw what we need to work on and we will get there. We have a high success rate in our programs. We are so looking forward to our next session. We are grateful his owners chose us to be part of this experience.

●It was so awesome seeing Moose's family again. A while back, maybe 8 or 9 years ago, we had donated our services and took in a dog named Kane from Lehigh County Humane Society You can find his video by searching "AFT Dog Training Kane" on Facebook. After we did Kane's dog training and rehabilitation, this family ended up adopting Kane. We lost touch after some time. Not too long ago, when Ashley reached out and told us Kane had passed, we cried. We remembered happy crazy eyed Kane we spent a lot of time with him as he stayed with us until he was adopted. And when we saw the pictures Ashley posted of Kane, he lived the most amazing life. Kane loved the children of the household and everyone he met along the way.
●Ashley ended up adopting another puppy, named Moose, and Moose carries a lot of that love that Kane brought to this world. We were so happy to be apart of the experience. We hope to see him again at A Furry Tail Come True Too, Nazareth and the The BW Bark and Brew Cafe at A Furry Tail Unleashed and our pack walks.
