Summer travel season is here. Is your pet's microchip info up to date?

A microchip only works if your contact information is current. If you've moved, changed your phone number, or adopted a pet with an existing chip, now is the time to update.

If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

Asphalt can reach 150°F when the air is only 85°F. That's hot enough to cause burns in seconds.

Quick Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If you can't keep it there, neither can your dog.

Walk early, walk late, or walk on grass!

Summer is officially here and so is the heat.

Pets can overheat quickly, especially flat-faced breeds, senior pets, and those with thick coats. Watch for:

- Heavy panting
- Excessive drooling
- Lethargy and/or weakness
- Vomiting

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool area and call us right away.

Traveling with your pet this Memorial Day weekend?
