Good day,

Followers, friends, Brothers, Sisters and upmost our veterans and active duty and family members.

I would like to stop and breath for a moment of our daily busy schedules and reflect.

As CEO/Co-founder of Honor Box Studios, I had to just do that today myself. I was sitting here this morning having my coffee and doing my daily routine within the business. In the back of my mind, I heard that very voices that molded me into the man I am today. with Father's Day just around the corner and the emotions that overcome me like a roller coaster ride each year. Reminded me to pull those last words out of my wallet, words my father told me before excepting his final marching orders on Father's Day. His words guide me each day as I begin to slip into that rabbit hole. Words of a PROUD MARINE as follows:

“Don’t worry about what people think of you, because they will never be there when you are fighting your battles in silence. They won’t see the nights you stayed awake or the mornings you got up broken but still moved forward. People judge from the outside, but they never truly know what you endure within.

Don’t live for approval, applause, or validation. Live for growth, peace, and purpose. You will not always be liked, and you do not need to be. You simply need to remain inspired. Don’t seek perfection. You were born to stand out. Other people’s opinions are noise, their doubts can become fuel, and their silence can become freedom.

You are not cold. You are focused. You are not arrogant. You are aware. You were built through storms that others may never understand. And when you stop worrying about what others think, you begin living the life you were truly meant to live.”

LOVE YOU DAD

🇺🇸 Happy 251st Birthday to the United States Army 🇺🇸

Today, Honor Box Studios proudly celebrates 251 years of service, sacrifice, strength, and legacy.

The Honor Box featured in this graphic is especially meaningful to us. It was custom made as part of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday, and it reflects exactly why we do what we do. To some, it may look like a beautiful handcrafted display. But to us, it is so much more.

It represents history.
It represents service.
It represents pride, sacrifice, and the stories that deserve to be remembered.

At Honor Box Studios, our mission has always been deeply personal. We believe every veteran, every Soldier, and every family has a story worth preserving. Every custom box we create is built with purpose, respect, and heart — because these legacies are not just meant to be displayed, they are meant to be honored.

As we celebrate the Army’s 251st birthday, we also celebrate the men and women who have worn the uniform, the families who stood beside them, and the legacy of service that continues to inspire everything we do.

Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Army.
Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your legacy.

A Message from Shawn Bertholf

Vice President and Co-Founder, Honor Box Studios

I recently watched the story of twin brothers Joe and Earl Granville, shared during the National Memorial Day Concert—and I will be honest: I shed many tears.

Their story reached me in a way I was not prepared for.

Earl and Joe entered military service together shortly before September 11, 2001. Earl went on to serve in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. During his final deployment, a roadside bomb took his left leg and the lives of two of his fellow soldiers. Then, in 2010, Earl experienced another devastating loss when his twin brother, Joe, died by su***de after his own struggle with PTSD.

It is difficult to comprehend the weight one person can be asked to carry.

Yet Earl continues to stand.

He does not pretend that the pain never happened. He does not hide the scars or offer empty words about resilience. Instead, he has chosen to take the most painful chapters of his life and use them to help others understand that they are not alone.

That is influence.

Influence is not simply measured by followers, likes, views or engagement. "True influence is measured by the lives we touch, the conversations we begin and the hope we give someone who may be struggling to find a reason to keep moving forward."

Earl has used his platform to speak honestly about combat injuries, grief, mental health, su***de, adversity and the importance of finding purpose. He has carried his message across the country through public speaking, adaptive athletics and service to others—reminding people that moving forward does not mean forgetting those we have lost. It means carrying them with us.

After watching Joe and Earl’s story, my respect for Earl grew even deeper.

This is why he was so deserving of becoming the first recipient of the Veteran Social Media Influencer Award at the 2026 National Social Media Awards.*The award was presented on June 7 in Hollywood, but what it represents reaches far beyond one evening or one stage.

Earl represents the very best of what a veteran influencer can be: authentic, courageous, compassionate and committed to serving long after the uniform comes off.

He reminds us that our stories have power.

He reminds us that vulnerability is not weakness.

He reminds us that purpose can emerge from unimaginable pain.

Most importantly, he continues to honor Joe—not only by remembering his life, but by using their story to help save and strengthen the lives of others.

Earl, you did not simply deserve this award because of what you have survived. You deserved it because of what you have chosen to do with your survival.

On behalf of Honor Box Studios, congratulations, brother. We are honored to know you, proud to support you and grateful for the example you continue to set for the veteran community and beyond.

Keep carrying the weight.
Keep building the bricks.
Keep giving others a reason to believe that their story is not over.

This past weekend, June 6–8, 2026, members of the Honor Box Studios team had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Social Media Awards in Hollywood.

To be in a room filled with creators, storytellers, leaders, and people using their platforms to make an impact was something we will never forget.

For Honor Box Studios, this was more than an event. It was a reminder of why we do what we do.

Every Honor Box we create carries a story. Every piece is handcrafted with meaning, purpose, and respect. No two boxes are ever the same because no two stories, legacies, or lives are ever the same.

Standing in Hollywood alongside our team was a moment of gratitude, growth, and reflection. We are proud of how far Honor Box Studios has come, but even more proud of the mission that continues to guide us: honoring service, sacrifice, legacy, and the people behind each story.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Honor Box Studios, believed in the work, shared our mission, and trusted us to help preserve meaningful stories through craftsmanship.

This is only the beginning.

Honor. Legacy. Craftsmanship. Story.
