Sharing a little glimpse into my personal life because I really do have the two coolest jobs ever and they got to meet a few weeks ago.
Some of you know this, most of you probs don’t. My day job is in the training unit at the sheriff’s office.
Which means most days I’m scheduling classes, organizing training, and making sure deputies have what they need to keep learning and growing.
My creative job is telling stories with a camera.
A few weeks ago, those two worlds collided when I got to photograph our SWAT team at the 2026 Memorial SWAT Competition, and honestly? It was such a cool reminder that photography isn’t just about pretty sunsets and cute couples (although I love those too).
It’s about people doing things they’re passionate about. It’s about documenting moments that matter.
And apparently, it’s also about me living my Hannah Montana dreams ✨

I’d actually be offended if you had a pet and DIDN’T let me meet them.

Sometimes a session feels less like taking photos and more like getting invited into someone’s favorite chapter.
When Brittany first reached out, she told me they wanted photos for their new home. Somewhere along the way, my brain translated that into photos IN their new home, and honestly? Best misunderstanding ever.
We spent the afternoon dancing in the living room, digging through a cigar box full of memories, talking about books we’d both cried over, and climbing out a bedroom window to a balcony that felt like it belonged in a movie.
By the time I got home, I had so many photos that I had to split this gallery into four parts. And even then, narrowing them down felt impossible.
The best stories are usually hiding in the little things. The books on the shelf. The ticket stubs saved for years. The way someone looks at you when you’re dancing in the middle of the living room for no reason at all.
This ended up becoming one of my favorite galleries I’ve ever delivered, and I think it’s because it reminded me that the moments that feel ordinary now are usually the ones we’ll want to remember later.
Just in case anyone was wondering what their elopement gallery might look like

A very full-circle session for one of my fav families. Watching clients turn into friends and little moments turn into years worth of memories will never not be special 🥹
