Governor Ned Lamont announced earlier this week that the Borough of Naugatuck will be the recipient of $6 million from Connecticut's Communities Challenge Grant program. Partnering with Pennrose, LLC the funding will go towards the $17.3 million total project cost of making infrastructure and site improvements to the large, underutilized parcel (also known as Parcel B) located 500 feet from the downtown green and directly adjacent to the site of the borough’s forthcoming train station.

Pennrose and the Borough plan to develop the parcel with 180 housing units (80% of which will be affordable at various income levels), as well as 7,320 square feet of commercial space.

It is with great sadness to inform the Town of Prospect Residents that retired Prospect Police Officer Noreo Gabriel passed away Saturday evening 12-03-2022. Officer Gabriel was a great asset to our Department. As a DARE Officer he helped mold many young lives. After his retirement he was the Animal Control Officer for the town of Prospect. He will be greatly missed. The Prospect PD sends their condolences to the Gabriel family.
