I keep reading on personal training websites that foam rolling is bad for the low back... as a licensed physical therapist I have instructed hundreds of patients how to release their back with great success. These personal trainers somehow think they can specifically instuct people on what to do and what not to.

I have been reading websites that state it is useless to roll out the ITB and it is not advised to roll out the low back... hmmm from what I think these are conclusions I completly disagree with. As a licensed physical therapist and a former massage therapist I think rollers do wonderful things for the soft tissue in and around the ITB/lateral thigh and also for the lumbar spine region.
