After a lot of thought, community polling, and discussion, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the 4th will not be fundraising or organizing a parade or other activities in 2023. We encourage everyone to attend any 4th of July event that another committee or group organizes to celebrate the holiday.

After in-depth deliberation, the Natick Friends of the 4th Board of Directors announces it will not be able to hold a 2022 Independence Day parade.

After an almost complete dissolution of the previous board of directors in 2018, a small group of less than 10 brand-new volunteers stepped up and pulled off a wonderful 4th of July parade in 2019. Unfortunately, we were not able to hold the parade in 2020 or 2021 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and associated financial changes for sponsors. Our group has now decreased to six volunteers and no longer has the bandwidth or resources to plan, fundraise for, or produce a parade.

We hope to see the return of the historic Natick 4th of July parade soon. In the meantime, we wish you a safe and happy Independence Day!

Natick Friends of the 4th is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to creating Natick's annual July 4th celebrations. Volunteers raise money, organize, and present each year's parade and accompanying festivities. All the events are funded solely by generous contributions from community members and local businesses.
