This community lost two heroes in a tragic, senseless act of violence; Liberty Rd Fire Chief Jason Haley and Lake Montrose Fire Chief Troy Whittington both lost their lives in service of others.
Troy has been an integral part of the Allied team since it’s inception. Over the years, I have grown to know and love a guy that everyone described as a selfless, joyful person. We had a special insight into one another’s lives, we were together daily. I knew Troy as a dedicated husband, a proud father, and a truly amazing friend that was always there for me no matter the circumstance, no matter the time of day.
Brother, it’s going to be tough doing this without you day in and day out. But, you will always be a part of our lives and live on through the memories that I am fortunate to have shared with a man who was and will remain forever in our hearts, a true hero.

Services for Troy will be Tuesday March 12, at 11am at Kingston Methodist Church and will be followed by the graveside service being held at Natchez City cemetery.

stationary. Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
