We have been receiving some reports about inappropriate behavior on park grounds, and this kind of behavior is not safe for other attendees and will not be tolerated. Our signage installation was delayed due to the weather, but rules and regulations will be posted by Wednesday this week. In the meantime, here is a list of the rules.

🚧 Old Providence Road Bridge Closed Immediately 🚧

The City of Natchez has announced the immediate closure of the Old Providence Road Bridge following an inspection.

According to information released by Mayor Dan Gibson, engineers with Dungan Engineering identified critical structural deficiencies during the inspection. The inspection found that all timber support piles had failed except for one, resulting in the immediate closure of the bridge.

The city expects to receive the full engineering report early next week.

Mayor Gibson stated that the closure was necessary out of an abundance of caution and concern for public safety. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until further notice.
