Just a heads up for this afternoon (Monday 5/11) at 3pm:
- Taking the espresso machine down to do a repair at 3pm. May take a couple hours to repair and warm back up for service.
- We can still make all drinks but HOT espresso based drinks. We CAN still provide ICED espresso based drinks.

Just another launch…
OK- Way too cool. Atlas launch at 1:46am- walked out to the beach and caught my second launch and my better half finally got to see a launch for the first time. Not Artemis, but a launch nonetheless. Amazon sending some tech up, I believe. Before the launch we did notice a few silhouettes in the moonlight, but as you can see in the pic, there were more than a few enthusiasts out there.

GODSPEED ARTEMIS 2!
There were many reasons this launch was special for me but the added bonus of watching this launch surrounded by many people who have spent years working together and getting to this point in the Artemis campaign. They watched with pure passion, raw emotion, and most notably with anxious optimism… I heard cheers and sighs of relief , saw tears, plenty of high fives and hugs. All were certainly celebrating a successful and safe launch, but hanging on and watching long after it was visible to make sure certain milestones were passed before they could relax a little and take in this huge step forward for the human race. Godspeed Reid, Christina, Victor and Jeremy. We’ll see you soon and you can bet we will be following your trip and look forward to a safe return home. Again, I couldn’t have asked for better hosts than the Schuh family- Thank you for inviting me to join you to view from KSC. Above everything else, it was truly inspiring to see you so passionate for what you have done and continue to do for the Artemis Campaign. This also goes out to my many friends in Houston that had a hand in this successful launch- Thank you for helping humankind move one step further. This wouldn’t have happened without any of you!

First morning in Cocoa Beach… up before the sun (as usual), preparing to work with our opening team to place orders so we have everything we need ordered back at the coffee house. While waiting for them to send me inventories, thought I’d share a pic or 2… intentionally added the Waffle House pic and my hotel for the night. My much better half knows me well- don’t need anything fancy and a fave greasy spoon all together. When she’s arrives, that changes (as it should).
Today will be the first launch attempt! Looking forward to meeting up with our friend in a few hours who graciously offered me the opportunity to join them at their viewing area. Appreciate you Susan and look forward to spending time with you guys!

Java Owl on location in Cocoa Beach! Here to show support for the Artemis mission, entire Artemis team and crew. Started my day in Nassau Bay and ended it in Cocoa Beach Florida at the Pig & Whistle to celebrate and honor the crew. I saw a Houston friend or two and made some new ones… Honored to be invited and thrilled to see our friend Reid (via FaceTime from quarantine). Today is the first possible launch day… From what I’m hearing, so far so good. A big shout out to my team at the Owl for giving me this opportunity to confidently step away while they work hard to fulfill our goal to provide care, community and coffee to our friends. I appreciate them!
