"Should I stay, or should I go now?
If I go, there will be trouble
And if I stay, it will be double
So ya gotta let me know
Should I stay, or should I go?"
—The Clash
A lot of customers are asking about New Hampshire's State Inspection program—is it staying? is it going? News today is reporting that inspections, both safety and emissions, will remain for now (see news article in comments).
Our state inspections remain $40.00 for both safety and emissions. That said, free inspections are better than cake! and as such we'll continue to offer inspections ON THE HOUSE, both for vehicle inspections that pass and for customers whose vehicles don't pass, but who choose to complete necessary services with us.
Contact us today to schedule your Volkswagen, Audi, and Volvo's NH State Inspection.

Camshaft wear is common, specifically cylinder head wear, which can lead to oil pressure issues. To help combat the wear and for noticeably improved performance overall, we recommend adding LIQUI MOLY MoS2 at every oil change. While factory recommended service is 10k miles between oil changes, we highly recommend getting your vehicle's oil changed every 5k miles, but if you tend to drive your vehicle further between those oil changes, you'll definitely want to consider using the lubricant additive to increase engine longevity.

Upon recognizing that the vehicle not only took longer than normal to start, but also drove sluggishly, the vehicle owner's daughter who was driving the vehicle at the time, decided, very smartly, not to continue to drive it, and instead the vehicle was towed in thus preventing further damage.
When we ran diagnostics we found that the timing was indeed off and that the chain had hopped -39.99 degrees.
It is important to have your vehicle serviced regularly for oil changes—every 5,000 miles and with the correct oil. Doing so is the best preventive maintenance of timing chain stretch and hop.
Be sure to check our website’s service articles for more information (link in comments).

Clutch time! Pictured at the top in both pictures is the old clutch disk and at the bottom is the new. This is the wear surface of the clutch that causes it to slip when it gets too thin.
