Everyone thinks it’s the big milestone days that hurt the most — Christmas, birthdays, the day your loved one died. And while those days matter, the one that blindsided me was Halloween.

It was ten years ago. My kids were still little, excited to go trick-or-treating. Josh took them because I couldn’t get out of bed. At the time, I didn’t even know why. I told myself I was just tired, that I didn’t feel like it.

But later, I realized Halloween had always been one of my favorite days — dressing the kids up, being creative, pretending we could be anything we wanted. And that first Halloween without Sawyer… I couldn’t pretend. I couldn’t be anything other than a mother in mourning.

Now, ten years later, I can look back and see that day for what it was — a moment I didn’t see coming, but one that changed how I understood grief.
Some days still sting quietly, even after a decade.

I share this today because someone out there might be bracing for the “big” holidays, thinking those are the hardest. But sometimes, it’s an ordinary day — like Halloween — that sneaks up and breaks your heart a little.

So if you know someone who’s grieving, check on them.
Ask what they’re doing today.
Offer to stop by.
Because sometimes the kindest thing we can give isn’t candy — it’s company. 🍩💗

Why would I stop selling my eBook for agents?
Short answer — because I can.

I turned 50 this summer, and somewhere between the self-reflection and the hot flashes 😅 I started rethinking how I spend my time and where I find my value.

I wrote AI for Real Estate Agents: Everyday Shortcuts to prove something — to myself and to this industry. That agents don’t need another “guru” or six-week masterclass to figure out AI.
They just need someone who gets it.
Someone who’s been there.

Because let’s be honest — most agents aren’t trying to get ChatGPT to recommend them. They’re just trying to get beyond writing listing descriptions without sounding like a robot.

So, I wrote the book.
Then I set a few personal goals for it.
And I hit them. Actually… I did better than I expected.

So here we are.
The book helped agents, proved a point, and sparked a few ideas for what’s next.

Now, I’m wrapping it up. TOMORROW — on Halloween night — this little book of shortcuts disappears.

Not because it didn’t work, but because I’ve got more goals, more adventures, and more creative energy to chase.
Like the 100+ real, organic leads I’ve pulled in from Instagram this year thanks to ChatGPT helping me sharpen my message and own my voice.

Maybe my next chapter will be a masterclass on exactly that — how to get real leads from Instagram and finally own your voice.
