Yoga teaches us to maintain a posture that communicates our inherent worthiness in a world that profits off of making us feel unworthy. It is a waste of time and life to kill our creative impulse for the sake of keeping up and fitting in. Through yoga philosophy we understand that our true nature is valuable and necessary. Through yoga asana the body responds to this inner knowing. It is a misuse of yoga to use the practices to improve our body, to calm our mind, or to master the perfect backbend. When we do the practices to fully inhabit where we are and who we are, we stop performing and begin creating.

Thursday:
- Ashtanga Mysore with Amy 7 am
-Strength, Mobility and Yin with Cesar 10:15 am

“Dignity does not rest below or above. It stands.” — Toni Morrison

You may have noticed that one agenda of the physical asana practice is to teach us to stand and sit upright and tall. In the modern human this postural integrity has been lost due to the burden of spending long hours in chairs. Yoga asana is a reclaimation of our upright and dignified posture. We open to the possibility of holding ourselves with dignity through the practice because when the spine organizes, our attention organizes. Through attention and a steady breath we find the inner orientation of support. Let us show you this week:
