Yesterday, legislation was introduced dubbed the “Take Care of American Veterans Act”. Within hours of being introduced, I was proud to see VFW along with IAVA, DAV, and many other Veteran Support Organizations come out in strong opposition of this legislation. Ladies and Gentlemen this is the heart of the VFW mission, protecting and defending Veterans from harmful legislation that erodes Veterans benefits earned with our blood sweat and tears and lessens our quality of life after service to this amazing Nation.

Lawmakers in DC MUST HONOR THE CONTRACT for us today and for future generations. It’s up to us to send the message, we will not allow benefits to be eroded, or our wounded to be compensated off the backs of our other wounded.
