I want to compliment the Florida Chamber of Commerce for the quality of their candidate interview process. The questions I was asked were intelligent and thoughtful and spanned a vast array of legislative issues. Thank you for allowing me to participate with the business leaders of Florida.

Last night I had the pleasure of addressing the Collier County Republican Executive Committee. it was held at the Naples Realtors Conference Centers so I was like being at home.

Met for lunch with members from my Leadership Collier Class of 2001. It was great being part of this group of successful men and women. This is our 25th Anniversary. Wow, where did the time go?

As a graduate of Missouri Boys State, I fully understand the importance of allowing our best and brightest youth within our State to participate in mock state government debating pertinent issues, passing legislation, and operating a state government. The lessons learned from this week long experience stay with you for a lifetime. I am very happy to see the Florida Legislature appropriated funds for Florida Boys State in the 2027 Budget.

Today’s Memorial Day Service at the Naples Memorial Gardens was simply beautiful as we honored our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsman. Kudos to the Collier County Veterans Council for organizing a great event and to the Cook Brothers for generously providing food and beverage for the event.

Today, I attended a Celebration of Life for Ski Oleski in Immokalee, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the community, particularly his enthusiasm for supporting local causes and bringing joy to young people by donning a Santa suit. A Rotarian, Fire Commissioner, Board member of local health organizations, he did it all. He will be missed. I knew him as my fellow Leadership Collier classmate (2001). Damn, did he make us laugh. Mark Morton, Cour Curatolo, and Clarence Tears from our class also attended. This was a great tribute to a great man.
